Default What Monsters are affected by Monster Pill?

Which monsters can you choose from using Magic Pill? Discards / faced down cards / monster already on the map? How does Monster Pill differ from a Wandering Monster?

You would draw from the Monster deck. It differs from Wandering Monster (which adds the Monster to the current combat or moves a Monster from an adjacent room to the current combat) because it doesn't have to be played during combat, nor does the new Monster have to be added to a combat even if one is happening. However, since Monster Pill is Throwable, it must be used in the room or adjacent to the room where a combat is happening if you intend to use it to add to a combat. Wandering Monster can be used from anywhere on the board to affect a combat, but it can only be played during a combat.
