OGRE Chess
So I went looking for the OGRE Chess rules I made up a while back and lo and behold they were MUCH more complete than I had remembered. So I spent a little time polishing them and fixing some inconsistencies, and decided to post them to see what people thought. The one caveat is that they have NEVER been played. Other than spending time on thinking about what worked or didn't, I haven't actually tried them, so I promise absolutely NOTHING :)
That being said, I am curious to see how they play, what works or doesn't, etc. So, without further ado, I present to you OGRE Chess.

Re: OGRE Chess
Interesting. A similar notion occurred to me many years ago. You can read it at the link below. We took different approaches: I used the Ogre map and normal rules with only minor modifications. I mention using a chessboard at the end but I didn't work through the implications of that as you have done.

Re: OGRE Chess
Forgot to mention: our proposals are similar in that neither were ever playtested! :D
