I like 'em. Have you considered writing up an article for the Pyramid on this? you might get quite a response.

Actually, I hate to say it, but from everything you've posted so far, you actually have a TON of Pyramid articles waiting to be written. I don't know off-hand if they pay for those or not, but man, you'd sure get some Ogre street-cred by doing them up and sending them in.

What are the extra X's for? I get that in Ogre Minis XX means "dead, no hulk" but the three Xs and so on?

I was thinking maybe that extra X's would represent extra damage done to tracks, extra damage in spillover fire, etc.

Hey man! I appreciate your suggestion! Even if I don't make money from my ideas, how would I go about submitting my ideas to Pyramid?
What are your top five ideas that you have come across over the past year or so?
I am thinking the CRT dice, new counters artwork, how luck would work in Travelers or additional terrain types for OGRE?

The bad news:
There isn't a OGRE issue on the wishlist. Pyramid is basically a GURPS webzine now.

I'd suggest an article based on the various collected Ogre types too -- all of them in one place with your writeups on their history, and maybe a few thoughts on how the ones you've actually used, play.

Regarding the Ogre issue on the wishlist thing, who cares? If the article is good and has a lot of value, I bet they'd publish it anyway. It's an on-line magazine, not a paper/printed thing, so the only limits on what they publish are arbitrary. If you think it needs a GURPS tie-in, well, there's always GURPS Ogre (you could provide a few thoughts on how they would be built in GURPS terms in the article with each Ogre type). Besides, I'm guessing they'd probably like to have a few good Ogre articles on-tap for right around Thanksgiving -- to help drum up more interest when 6E hits the local game stores.

Oh, I think you had some pretty cool ideas for a couple of scenarios too -- those might make for some good Ogre articles; especially if you have any talent for writing a little fiction story to go along with the scenario....

That's not what they say:

In which case, there will be an OGRE themed issue.

Pretty much the definition of "arbitrary limits" wouldn't you say?

Sure, but they are the arbitrary limits they've chosen. Ignoring them and just submitting articles they don't want isn't going to make Steven change his mind, and it's likely to make him irritated enough to ignore you when and if they do put an OGRE themed issue on the wishlist.
