Why Does lawrence want with the brights?

It says in the redemption section of the Infernals book that laurence wants all the bright lilm in heaven in his service... but am I stupid, or is their resonance WORTHLESS to him almost... its not very good in the middle of a battle in my humble opinion...

Any guesses?

well, no, geasing a demon in the middle of a battle would seem to be
not so useful - but Laurence has people doing things in every aspect of
the War. would geasing a demon be useful, say, in intelligence? or while
working on a Redemption? or being assigned by Laurence to work with
Marc or Blandine? Brights are a scarce resource and Laurence wants to
have every resource available at need.

as to Laurence, tho, as Comander of the Hosts, he by definition has a
finger in every pie Heaven has. if there's a place for a Bright in some op
or other he'll want to have a Bright to drop in there. and he IS in charge.

Quoted for truth. Laurence isn't just a fighter -- he's a general. That means he's coordinating all of Heaven's strategies against Hell. Bright Lilim are highly useful for intelligence-gathering as well as for recruitment; I can see them working very well with a Soldier of God. There are many situations in the War that are too subtle to be solved with "Send a squad of Malakim to bash them"; those are the situations where a Bright will shine (pardon the pun).

Plus all Brights were demons first, so they _all_ have good insight on the activities of Hell, and very possibly of Lilith too. And I'd hazard in most games she is hard to get intel on.

He's probably also worried that since they all started out as demons, they might be the most at risk of tripping and Falling. Their basic nature is demonic--while a demon, even one made in Hell, is based off of an original angelic blueprint. He wants to keep an eye on them all.

another issue on brights thought I'd bring it up on this thread

it said that demon princes usualy dont perform geas stripping but think they might on a favor OWED TO (not BY) a lilim who went bright?

They might, but only for a very favored Servitor. Who would have to have a lot of chutzpah to ask in the first place, as the DP might just kill you or turn you into the Game as a traitor. It isn't fair to blame you, but then, this is Hell, and no one said it was supposed to be fair.

and let me guess if the prince DID strip the Geases he'd likely Demand services from the Servitor to repay him for his investment that might make just waiting for the bright to call in the favor look like an attractive alternative.

In GURPS In Nomine, it is explicitly stated that Kronos has not duplicated the Bright Lilim or Grigori resonances for his Balseraph Attunement. Yves' Master of Divine Knowledge Distinction does not give any information on the question either way.
