Tossing a Steed and a Hireling?
Just two quick questions...
-The Smart Pills card for Hireling (whatever it's called) prevents using said Hireling for running away, but can you still simply DISCARD the Hireling in a normal manner if you don't want to use it anymore? -Can you simply DISCARD a Steed, or must a Steed be discarded through normal regulations - that is - sold amongst items of 1000 gold or more? |

Re: Tossing a Steed and a Hireling?
Steeds have a special rule that, if they provide a penalty to your Run Away roll, you may discard them to avoid that. Otherwise, they cannot be discarded any differently than any other item. So you can sell them, or lose them to Curses (even a Curse that you play on yourself), and you can trade them to another player, if they agree, but you can't just decide to discard them because you don't want them any more.

I agree with Mister Ed about Steeds. And of course, you could discard the Steed to power a Race or Class ability too.
And yes, you would be able to discard a Hireling with Smart Pills, as you can discard a Hireling at any time. The Smart Pills go with them, of course. |

Ok, thanks for the clarifications! And the situation you illustrated, Mister Ed, is what inspired this question, because that confused me, so thanks again!
