Blood can be used as an egg substitute in cooking.

So, now I know that one can use hagfish slime or blood as egg white substitutes.

I'll consider that the next time I make a meringue.

The French have set their priorities right and invented a champagne bottle that works in zero-g.

Interestingly, the French military also reportedly has some of the best field rations.

In the Welsh Mary Lwyd Christmas tradition, a horse skull comes to visit you to sing songs at your door, asking to be let in. You have to answer, also in song and rhyme, with excuses for why it's not convenient. This goes on until one of you give up - if you give up, the Mary Lwyd gets to raid your pantry for all your beer.

Here's a video on the subject

What do you do when you host an international winter sports event with hundreds of athletes, thousands of spectators and millions in media earnings but have no snow?

The organizers of the biathlon world cup in Thuringia ordered snow and have it delivered. With 30 trucks. Over a distance of 400 km.

So, imagine a caravan of 30 semi-trucks, loaded with white gold, in a race against time to reach their destination before the snow melts and the word cup has to be cancelled.
Wouldn't it be a pity if something happened to them?

In a action or crime campaign, the trucks and their cargo can be the target of blackmailers ("Pay me ten million Euros or say goodbye to your world cup") or maybe a rival contender ("Hey, Elbowistan is happy and willing to step in. We have a lot of snow over here. Our beloved president-for-life loves biathlon.")

And in the grand finale, the heroes battle the villains in a running gun battle with semi-trucks on the German Autobahn.
