Status 0-Roles
Hello again,
now I'd just like to know if Status 0-Roles are possible. If a Status of 1 describes the Status of celestial's Role as a janitor, I'm asking myself what Status someone has who has a Role as a homeless person. In the eyes of the public, a janitor's status is above that of someone without a roof over his head (okay, that's perhaps an impossible try to translate a German metaphor), so I wonder if the homeless celestial (who wants to prowl an area as a more or less known homeless person (i.e., with a Role)) has a Status of 0. I hope you can help me. Methariel

Re: Status 0-Roles
The main problem with this concept is that by artifact of the formula used to calaculate the cost of roles, a Status/0 role would be free, even if taken as a Role/6.
Mostly I don't see it as a necessary concept. Six levels hardly covers all of of the various possible social standings of an individual in anything but the most broad and abstract fashion - indeed, that's as much as it is meant to do. So status/1 can cover the homeless as well as janitors just fine. Ultimately, it's a large abstraction for the sake of a game mechanic. |

Re: Status 0-Roles
Padre is correct; the Role rules are simply an abstraction. The system is designed so that the lowest Status a Role can have is 1.
(The correct rule for determining point cost, incidentally, is (Level x Status)/2 . The point cost listed on p. 72 of the original core rules - now hopefully changed in newer versions, and listed in the errata - is incorrect.) |

Ah, well, then thank you both.
