GURPS 4e Interactive/Fillable PDF Character Sheet

The lack of a PDF character sheet with interactive fields was mentioned recently. As this seemed like a fairly handy thing to have, and I had a couple days to kill, I decided to feed my obsessive nature by creating an interactive/fillable version of the GURPS 4e character sheet.

It can be found here. In addition to the blank one, there is also a filled-in sheet as an example of what it looks like with some info on it (screenshot). A few things to note:

The 'Reputation' (Reaction Modifiers) and 'Character Notes' sections are multi-line on the original sheet, but I wasn't able to create a text box that matched the existing lines closely enough. Instead they are single line text fields.
The values for ST, DX, IQ, and HT are entered directly into their boxes; the values for HP, Will, Per, and FP are set by entering their point totals.
Completed sheets will look identical to the non-interactive sheet, with the sole exception of individual DR locations in the DR box.
I think the tab order should be consistent and logical throughout, so in theory you could work through the entire sheet by hitting Tab and entering info.
As far as I can tell, the trait calculations are all working fine with positive points (that is, spending points to improve). They can get a little wonky if lowering traits to get points back and not using full multiples - when doing that, try not to use "in-between" numbers (so if lowering HP, use -2, -4, -6; if lowering FP, use -3, -6, -9; etc. No big deal since most people would be doing that anyway, but I thought I'd mention).

As long as you keep in mind that this is not in any way a character generator, just a convenient way to create legible sheets of characters that are already created, you won't be disappointed. It only contains the most basic of calculations, where the formulas were simple enough to work out for convenience.

Is it somehow possible to save the document with the filled-in data? Didn't work me...

That's mostly a limitation of Adobe Reader. Acrobat Professional allows it as do some non-Adobe viewers, but I couldn't really tell you which ones.

Yes, it can be very useful even for online Virtual Tabletops able to show/share PDF documents between participants.

There was a very nice GURPS Generic Character Sheet someone, around here, did before. It's in PDF format. I would like to see this functionality in a very good-looking sheet as that!

Ok, right, I thought it was a limitation of the document created with Adobe Software, but it's really just the Reader. Just tested it and one working option is the Foxit PDF Reader.

I thought the newest version of Adobe Reader allowed you to save forms...could be wrong, and not sure if the OS affects it. I switch back and forth between mac and linux and find their native PDF viewers useful enough I only use Adobe if there are problems with the native ones.

Oops, apparently it is something I can do on my end (who knew?). Please try re-downloading and see if you can save in Reader now.
