Default Automatic Fire

Question.

If your aimed weapon is set on automatic fire you do not benefit from computers. You are then required to calculate all standard modifiers.

If you have a driver with no gunner skill (who would then suffer -2 to hit) do you also ignore that penalty for automatic fire?

I am thinking it might be better for an incompetent gunner to aim the car instead.

My assumption is yes; The book says that automatic fire is "not being aimed by the driver or anything else", but gets contradictory by then saying 'all standard modifiers'.

If it came up during an event, I'd rule that automatic fire is fully unaimed; The Gunnery skill is the human being's ability to aim, and the computers help said human aim better, therefore you don't include either.
