Default DF Equipment Outside of DF Campaigns

I was wondering if anyone has used DF equipment outside of DF campaigns (such as in campaign world's like Yrth)? For example, I am sure that Dwarven Warhammers (especially if they are given Axe Heads and Full Spear Heads) would be popular weapons for the knights of Megalos (Elven Bows would also likely be popular among the woodsmen of Caithness).

My current game is DF inspired, but not DF. Some DF equipment modifiers are available, though the current crop of PCs doesn't have access to anyone who would sell them Dwarven or Elven gear.

We have seen plenty of meteoric arrows and crossbow bolts, limited use of a meteoric iron ax, and orichalcum shields and armor.

I'm using the DFRPG equipment lists for the low-tech, magical place the PC's in my 'Traveller' game are in right now.

Some of the gear in Adventurers and Sages gets used when I run a game in my Ranoc setting. I mix it up liberally with stuff from Low-Tech, too, though for armor Ranoc tends to use Low-Tech rather than the Basic Set.

Even some new Enchantments too. You'll have to reverse-engineer their energy point costs to use with regular Magic but that's not hard.

Remind me which one is DF8 again? I don't have the numbers and names memorized (especially as I don't have the whole line as yet, and even the ones I do have I rarely look at except when their contents come up in non-DF games).

I absolutely swipe DF rules for other campaigns. The main reason I got DF 2 was for the rules on Hidden Weapons or Backstabbing during combat, saving on figuring out exactly what kind of terrain we had for each encounter. Falling damage rules to save math, and so on.

For a staff-sickle, the sickle head light enough for the full U-Parry from a polearm to not be appropriate, the rules for Dwarven Weapons were used to calculate the CF. Not technically a Dwarven Weapon, just a light sickle-blade, but it provided a balanced rule-set for the occasion.

The rules on books or manuals from Sages were borrowed for wizard libraries or spellbooks. The esoteric supplies rules were guidelines for tools like holy symbols.

Convenient traps like spring-loaded leghold man-traps get used when an easy set of rules are needed.

The 40 Artifacts are things we plan on getting use, but it is the kind of game where self-enchanting is the favoured method of getting permanent magical items, which is the opposite of DF’s philosophy on the subject.

I used the book rules in a game I ran years ago. It may be that I do again, what with the PCs being stuck in a low-TL DF sort of place right now.
