Spell for Unready weapons
Graceful Weapon [Movement college]
This spell, when cast on any weapon which has the Unready condition for parrying, allows the weapon to be used to attack and parry normally for the duration of the spell. If cast on a weapon that must be readied after attacking, the weapon becomes Unready for the duration of the spell. Duration: 60 rounds Cost: 4 for Unready weapons, 5 for weapons that must be readied after an attack. Time to Cast: 3 rounds Prerequisites: Magery 2, Haste So, does it cost enough? And is 3 rounds too long for casting time? |

Re: Spell for Unready weapons
Whatever floats your GM's boat... I'd probably cast for 2 sec and drop the energy costs by 1.
I'd do a blocking spell variant too! |

Most Blocking spells act like defenses, but you'd not normally want to make your opponent's weapon Ready for him. Should the Blocking version count as a parry used? So while you've regained the ability to parry, the actual parry (should you make one) will be at -4 for being the second parry in a turn? Better than not having one, but not great. |

Re: Spell for Unready weapons
Do mean Unbalanced? Becoming unready is a consequence of attacking for some weapons, while Unbalanced weapons can't attack and parry in the same turn.
I would make it a one or two second spell and allow it to be maintained at half energy cost. Cost seems fine, maybe even a little higher than necessary. |
