Rules Verification Ranger Class
Can the Ranger use his train as steed ability to take one monster out of a multiple monster combat by discarding cards to train it?
I have had a player do this in game. |

I believe he can even take multiple monsters out by taming and discarding each in turn, so long as he has sufficient discards to power his ability. Last edited by Kirt; 01-02-2010 at 11:17 PM. |

Actually, the Ranger can tame a single monster in a combat. So, if a Ranger is fighting, i.e. two monsters, the Ranger can tame one of them, provided she has the cards to do so, and fight the other monster normally.

That monster tamed in a 2 monster combat... You can use his bonus in the current combat against the other monster?
See ya

Re: Rules Verification Ranger Class
Yes, my bad. Here you say that "single" is open to interpretation and based on the card text itself could allow for taming more than one monster in a fight, just not more than one at one time. However, you add that you believe the correct and intended interpretation is one per combat.
Here you unequivically say that it is one per combat. |
