Yes, Power-Ups 6: Quirks. One good idea from that book that I like to use when picking quirks is the "disadvantage embellishment". The way these work is to look at your disadvantages, and pick some way they always manifest. You can take one of these per -5 a given disadvantage is worth. So, for example, you have Bad Temper listed. You could take, as a quirk, "Always loses his temper when faced with rogue witches", basically getting -1 in exchange for always waiving the self-control roll that Bad Temper allows when confronted with rogue witches. Or, for Nightmares, you might have "always has a nightmare after dealing with spellcasters". Or anything like that - pick a circumstance that might come up where one of your disadvantages might limit you, and get 1 extra point for saying it will always limit you in those circumstances.

And just to be contrary, my favorite is Disadvantage Reduction. Pick a disad and reduce to near meaninglessness...

For example (from a current character):

(Alcoholic) Drinks to forget his failures
----- So if he a has a terrible setback, out comes the booze at the first moment.

(OPH) Mutters in the Dark Tongue in his sleep
----- He has Weird Dreams and is contacted by Elder Things in his sleep... and no one wants to have have to hear those conversations... so it means he sleeps alone. A lot. Basically it's a -1 reaction from anyone that has their sleep interrupted by his night terrors.

(Increased Expense) Doesn't Believe In Training
----- Training is for lesser people. Basically he'll avoid actually Training, skip lessons, be a nuisance to the instructor, etc. It increases training costs by 10%. (This one is actually a reversed Perk, Cheaper Gear, making some limited thing more expensive)

(Mercurial) Charitable to Bloodlust at the drop of a hat
----- I flip a coin at the start of every encounter for his foes. He's either gonna want to save them or kill them. Obviously if doing one or the other is a really, really bad idea he'll go with the flow, but he won't be happy about it.

(Delusion (True)) Elder Things contact him in his dreams
----- Just because it's true doesn't mean anyone else believes him.

Other good Quirks are ones that limit or make him slightly predictable in some way:

(Addiction) Can't Pass Up a Starbucks
(Stubborn) Get's Cranky If the Plan Is Deviated From
(SOP) Always Sits With His Back To The Windows
(Obsessive) Sends His Orphanarium Postcards From Every Town He Goes To

Find out if your GM is using Power-Ups 5: Impulse Buys or Influencing Success Rolls (B347)...

If so take one more Quirk and save that point for an emergency!

Don't take (practically suicidal) Berserk. Look at Impulsive instead.

When you need to stretch the CP budget consider one less level of HT and add Fit for a saving of 5. Also, you can shave a level of ST but add Arm ST to leave damage unchanged.

BTW, IMO a GM who trades in game benefits for RW services stinks.

He's not kidding, about this. Berserk is only scary against terrified peasants, and only not instantly lethal against non-sapient creatures.

A cool-headed professional kills a berzerker dead, right freakin' now.
