Ah, sorry, I posted in a hurry and read "primary weapon" as "long arm". As far as pistols go, you can't do better than the Glock 22. It's only marginally better than the USP in GURPS terms, but it's still lighter and cheaper while carrying more shots in the magazine. It's also a fairly common cop gun in the U.S.

Also, consider getting a shotgun firing 3" shells. That +1 damage winds up being 1d+1 when firing at point blank range or using shells.

Certain motorcycles allow automatic transmission operation (as do many scooters) which allow them to work one handed handily enough (no clutch!)

But yeah, I know enough people who can ride a bike 0 handed at least for spots I have no problem with a GURPS Hero doing it

What kind of bike are you getting?

Ill admit the Yamaha XT225 is one of my current favorites for a heroes bike, or the KLR650 for a bigger heroes bike

The Super Sherpa is a very neat Kawasaki also . . . . I quite wanted to get one but never found one in my price range

Aside from the hateful hateful kick starter the KLR 250 is a cool bike with a rich tradition and at one point used by the military . . . . but the kick starter drove me mad so my KLR 250 was replaced very quickly

KLR 650 is definitely a cool choice and might be better for hauling stuff than its smaller friends (and it looks less like a glorified Power Wheels toy than smaller friends, which may be good or bad)

Can zombies see color? If zombies dont see color you can get one with one of the festive color schemes that off road bikes attract!

Nah, going with the Grey/Black/Silver scheme... there will still be other people that I have to worry about, bright colors make it hard to camouflage. It one of the reasons I picked the 2011 model. I also like some of the 2013 models, but alas, they will never be made in the campaign setting.

My main task now is equipment, the character will be on a 650 KLR, an on-road/off-road motorcycle. So everything has to fit on that. The camp she was at was overrun by a "herd" of walkers while she was out scouting for supplies, most are dead, and she hasn't located any that might have survived. She's coming from the Eastern North Carolina (she grew up there, and retreated there after the Wildfire outbreak), and be heading back to Charlotte, NC... where she had worked as a Paramedic just two months earlier. This is where I will be meeting the other players. The GM has informed me that it will only be two months after the outbreak, rather than the previous mention of six months. This correspondes to about the time "Rick" from the series wakes up from a Coma. My characters goal is to make it to Lake Cumberland in Kentucky (she went there hunting with her uncle a few times), where she thinks the mountains will prevent Herds from forming, and the islands in Lake Cumberland would make excellent places to start over and offer yet another barrier against the walkers.

So given that background, a scrounging skill of 17, area knowledge 13, and access to a fully stocked ambulance before things got bad... what kind of gear would you expect her to have?
