Why, yes - that's exactly what I'm saying. Ogrethulhu looks nifty to have in its own right; I'm not looking to add it to my non-existent army. Before buying a $20 mini, though, I'd kind of like to have some idea of what I'd be getting....

Okay, that helps. Realize, the online writeups show no dimensions and the photos show nothing to indicate absolute scale - so I couldn't be sure whether this thing was an inch long or a foot long. That gives me something to work with; thank you.

I originally thought you were saying you just didn't have a 'thulhu mini. How can someone not have a regular one? How!?

See, you have to get one now, if only for the peace of mind of having near at hand.

The usual description is "The size of a football field." So 100 yards by 50 yards right?

Too big. More like 40'x90'x40'

Illustrations seem to represent them at about that size

I could make a statement, while still supporting my FLGS and SJG.

Ok I know that this might sound stupid but those dimensions sound small. Was that a Mark I pehaps? I seriously imagined and Ogre Mk III as something that made the world tremble as it approached from miles away. Blocked out the sun... had bumper stickers that said "Really freakin huge wide load!!"

Assuming that you're quoting 40 foot wide, 90 foot long and 40 foot high... it seems tiny.

Oh well, I asked and y'all answered so thank you very much.

I keep meaning to try and get some silhouettes together to try and create a set of comparisons (and actually, figure what *I* want the size of each to be from that), but have never quite gotten round to it. I know the minis are supposedly to size except the Battlesuited figures, has anyone ever lined up various tanks, GEVs, alongside an Ogre just for a comparison photo?

Well, size-wise, let's see...

An M1A2 Abrams battle tank is about 12 feet wide and 25 feet long, and has a height of 8 feet to the turret cupola. And that's a 70-ton vehicle. So it is pretty big - the size of my living room , actually, now I think of it. Still, I prefer to think of Ogres on the HUGE side, regardless of canon. Like BOLO big. I generally assume a Mark VI is about the size of a football field. Hell, it has to be powered by its own atomic pile, so it's gotta be at least that big. Ground pressure would be a big issue with something that size. Think of the Maus. Or this:

http://www.panzerschreck.de/panzer/pzkpfw/p1000.html

I can't speak to the accuracy of that site from an historical standpoint, but it seems to suit the grandiose kind of mindset suitable to the Nazis. And it seems kind of Ogre-like. It's 14x35 Meters, roughly, what, 45x110 ft?
