I am getting the feeling that I could fake those ships with SS1 then.

SS4 adds rules for SM+4 vessels, SS7 adds lots of new options and components (mostly, but not exclusively, based on weird tech), and SS8 has several options intended for THS that are useful for other settings. The others focus primarily on rules for running different styles of spaceship centered campaigns.

I specifically talked only about volumes 2 to 6. Volume 7 is different.
