Do sex change penalties ever cancel out?

Let's say I'm wearing the Unnatural Axe shirt while playing Munchkin. As it says in the rules for the shirt, changing or removing the shirt will change my sex. Now let's say someone else plays a curse on me which forces me to change sex, and puts me at -5 for my next combat. If I remove the shirt immediately afterward, and go back to my original sex, does that get rid of the combat penalty, or would I then be at -10 for my next combat?

Thats an interesting idea.
I'd say if you change sex twice then you're at -10 for your next combat. Why? Because the rules say you are at -5 for taking your shirt off and -5 for getting cursed. AFIK nowhere do they say "you are at -5 to your next combat unless you change sex back again"
While it might make sense for the effects to cancel out the rules don't say they do and Munchkin is played by rules and not by what seems sensible.

This has been covered before, so I can answer with confidence. First, changing back to your original sex does not cancel the penalty (you're still distracted by the change). Second, multiple sex changes do not stack, so you're at -5 no matter how many times you change before your next combat.

Until official Tournament rules come out and address this, I've only allowed it once per game in tournament games. In home brew, you take it off and we steal it and it's not considered cheating.
