Couple questions...
Memory is not serving me correctly.
1) Does anyone remember what the ruling was on using more than one tire type on a cycle? (Also: If one is running a sidecar, which tire does the s-c tire have to match?) 2) Where's the page with the Sonic Cannon rules? Someone posted a link, but I can't find it.

Re: Couple questions...
Only place I can recall different Tire types on a Cycle , was the unofficial Drag Cycle from internet (NOVA Nightmessenger?) pages. Only the Back Tire could be a Slick .

He linked to everything 'Fraid not -- going through my old files, and finding some "damaged" cycles with mismatched tires; based on what I have, I went with "F and B tires may be different, as with cars; sidecar tire must match B tire, or get penalty" (probably I based this off pics of cycle/sidecar combos; the sidecar tire is usually parallel with the rear tire on the bike). But since these date from a *long* time ago, there might have been a Official Ruling (or several ;) ) in the interval. (Same reason I have Light Cycles with Sidecars -- they exist; heck, near where I live, someone has a scooter with a sidecar....)

Re: Couple questions...
Yeah in game Light Cycles should be able to use Light Sidecars . We allow them to in our group games . Sidecar frames ( plus Cycle AND Minivan Trailers ) are extremely overweight for their sizes as it is ...

Re: Couple questions...
The Carbon Aluminum Frame is your friend, especially on sidecars. No one expects a cycle to win in a collision anyways.

Re: Couple questions...
True but with any suspension improvements, the costs for Sidecars become astronomical if you go for the CA Frames .
My Metalwork Teacher had a large Sidecar on his classic motorbike & two of us easily lifted it away from the cycle & turned it over when some rust needed sorting out . I was 16 at the time & I'd put it's weight at between 100lbs & 120lbs with wheel on ? No where near 200lbs or 350lbs . And of course an 8 Space Light Trike frame is only 300lbs ... See my Cycles vs Trike thread for more rants on this subject : http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread...=Cycles+Trikes

Re: Couple questions...
Which is why, back-when, most groups ignored the ruling "CA-frame cost mods affect Chassis and Suspension cost as well" -- it effectively rendered the CA-frame useless for anything except "Division 60+ blitzkriegs".

Re: Couple questions...
At least with bikes you avoid the chassis part.
