Continuing the review of Pyramid #3/57 with the Nock Volley Gun, by Graeme Davis. A tightly-written piece all about one very real weapon, that saw limited service in the late 18th and early 19th century. Good history, good writeup with six optional rules for this baby!

Thursday is GURPS-Day, and today I post an updated version of my ballistics spreadsheet which first saw the light of day in 2002. It's held up well, but that's because 20d = DR 70 = 1" of RHA steel is still the basis for penetration in Fourth Edition. So, when I have a conversion to make, this is the version of the sheet I use. If you have questions, ask!

I continue my article-by-article review of Pyramid #3/57 - Gunplay with Christopher Rice's "Magic Bullets." Have a pesky poltergeist or lecherous lycanthrope or annoying alliteration to take down? He's got the tools to help you find the right material to bypass their invulnerabilities.

Pondering what the meaning of "in plain sight" means in GURPS, and coming to a decision that seems, for me, surprisingly minimalist.

Thanks! I appreciate the feedback. A lot of posts come from discussions on these forums, and both Delayed Gratification and Dodge This Pyramid articles sprung from an interplay between the forums and my blog.

Interesting. I vaguely recall some post by someone authoritative saying that camouflage, stealth and cloaking negate the plain sight bonus before applying other modifiers. Or maybe I'm misremembering.

+10+5-18 is -3 not -7 or am I missing something?

Vision at level 7 (Joe Average 10 - 3) rather than Vision minus 7. That's one of the peculiarities of the GURPS skill notation formatting, alas.
