Default Is "Dead" a monster Enhancer?

We were playing epic tonight, and when I kicked down the door the 2 cards I drew were the Mighty Germ (Level 3) and "Dead." I know that monster enhancers like +10 or -5 would apply to the monster, but I'm not sure if this is considered an enhancer. Does "Dead" apply to the Germ, or may I put "Dead" into my hand and fight the Germ?

Does it matter that I was a Halfling and could merely stomp it dead?

And along the same lines, would "Out to Lunch" work the same as "Dead?" ... whatever way that ends up being, lol.

Dead is not a Monster Enhancer, nor is Out To Lunch, so in an epic game, these would go into your hand should they show up when drawn with a Monster.

Thanks! I would have won the game if we'd played it that way, lol.

Now I'm confused as to which cards ARE enhancers, other than the ones that say +/- on them.

In this thread it says that Friendly is a monster enhancer.

Are there others that don't say +/- on them? (I'm playing with Munchkin and Unnatural Axe right now.)

Edit - sorry, I guess I don't know how to link to that thread...

Edit 2 - still didn't work.

Take out the trailing "[/URL" (leave the final "]") and the link will work. The closing tag is only needed if you have text for the link.

While we're on the subject, is "Narrow Minded" a monster enhancer? It certainly seems to be, but it does not give a direct, unquestionable +whatever bonus to the monster.

A Monster Enhancer is a door card that gives a bonus or penalty to a Monster. This is specifically called out in the rules:

In the past Friendly may have been considered a Monster Enhancer, but under the current rules, and the current card wording, it can not be any more.
