Huh. Last thing I'd ever expect. My Car Wars arena and tournament being the first image of OrcaCon on the local news. Car Wars didn't get mentioned specifically in the report, but I was a bit bemused that they opened the story with some footage of the game (and we're in the background later).

I played the ramps as follows:
When you first end a move with at least part of your car going up a ramp, you lose your next move. When you first end a move with your car going down a ramp, you get a bonus move. This kept things pretty simple for the ramps, as well as keeping stuff moving and not having to deal with wonky stuff like mid-turn speed changes. Edges were a whole different subject. That's where things got wonky.
