Default Why no GURPS Bestiary 3e in PDF?

I've been wanting this forever. Is it ever going to be available?

They stopped with the conversion project. I've got a list of about a dozen books that I've been waiting on, to complete my switch-over to PDF. Sigh...

It's more frustrating that there isn't a PDF of the 3E Bestiary because there still isn't any equivalent resource for 4E. Something digital to work from for conversions would be useful.

It should make it.

All editions of GURPS titles (excluding licensed books) should make their way to PDF release. It is important that we properly archive those older editions so that _anyone_ may buy every of edition of, for example, GURPS Supers and happily compare the content across the years. The important thing is to properly note -- and link to -- the various editions.

This includes all editions of the Basic Set, which should be available in PDF.

If you check, you'll find that GURPS Autoduel is already up in two different editions:

* First Edition - http://www.warehouse23.com/products/...-first-edition

* Second Edition - http://www.warehouse23.com/products/...assic-autoduel

The challenge is time to manage the project. The GURPS team is going as quickly as they can, but the older editions require a lot more work to prepare for PDF release.

That would be great!

I'm so happy that so much old gaming content is going this way. There's a lot of value in those old games, and this will ensure that they're not lost to the mists of time.

Thank you for doing a careful job in archiving these. Not everyone is doing it as well as you folks are, and the difference means a lot.

That's good news. While some editions of the various sourcebooks are pretty much just incremental updates with primary interest to completists and collectors, others are very different between editions, and digital copies of each would be welcome to a wider audience.
Each edition of Bestiary is very different for example, while Horror is even more extreme, with each of the three editions containing useful content the others lack. 1st Edition has an adventure the others don't include, 2nd Edition has a lot of information on Victorian England and Prohibition era America not published elsewhere, expanded significantly on the 1st Edition info, and 3rd Edition is a whole new book with more general good advice about making and running a horror campaign, but lacking the specific period details of its predecessors.

True, if you count GURPS 4E Horror as well as the Classic editions.

Do we know if the archiving/conversion project will restart this year? Or is it on indefinite hold?

Because I'm starting to feel like an "In Nomine" fan, waiting for the next book to come out. :-)

Someone from the team should be along to answer the question. I am not personally involved in the process.
