Default In Nomine: Night Music released today

Book 1 of a new series (The Revelation Cycle), IN: Night Music.

Hope you IN'ners are happy! :-)

Edit: Looks like it's a PDF scan of an older In Nomine book. So no new material, unless it's been hard to get before...?

The Revelations Cycle was actually one of the first series of books done for In Nomine. So, as for the GURPS Classics line, this is a digital rerelease for those who weren't able to pick it up back in the day.

Good to see Night Music back in action again! Even with Corp Players Guide updating a lot of the mortal information, there's still some pretty good stuff here, and Demon Prince of Rock & Roll is as neat an adventure as one could ask for ...

And, at least so far, this is the only book with any canonical information about the Archangel of Children and the Demon Prince of Hardcore.

What exactly makes the Revelations Cycle a Cycle anyway? I own the whole thing, but it's always seemed to me that linking the adventures with the same party would be really really hard to do.

There's an explanation in hindsight in The Final Trumpet, I think, but the stories are indeed loosely connected at best. The idea seems to be that the adventures in each part serve as a multi-part intro to the crucial parts of the In Nomine universe:
  • Night Music sets the tone by introducing the angel/demon conflict as relatively low-contrast, demonstrating that in addition to fitting stereotypes, angels can be pretty psycho and demons can be pretty cool.
  • The Marches introduces ethereals into the equation, highlighting how decimated Heaven left them.
  • Heaven and Hell ... um, actually I have no idea about that adventure. Someone else is free to jump in.
  • Fall of the Malakim and The Final Trumpet are very closely connected, offering a story on a more epic scale (like, end of the world epic).
I'm skipping the stories from The Marches and Heaven and Hell in my own group, but I do plan to run the adventures from the other three all in a row. As Beth suggested in another thread, I'm going to introduce Mira Klein (from the last two books) in "The Demon Prince of Rock and Roll" to help connect the first story to the later ones.

Nice splash in the Daily Illuminator today -- but the spelling needs to be fixed on Laurence.

Alas, you'll have to tell the SMarsh that on the e23 forum -- he's the one who wrote it. O:>

Yes, telling me on the e23 forum... telling me via e-mail... telling webmaster@sjgames.com... any of those would be better than a random message on a forum I don't frequent too frequently. :-)

Still, at least in this case, I lucked across this and have fixed it. (Perhaps the Angel of Editing is looking out for me?)
