2011 Coin Clarification
From the Munchkin site: "If you are not using the Fairy Dust expansion, you may "spend" the 2011 Silver Piece to start the game with one Fairy Dust card of your choice, in addition to your regular allotment of Doors and Treasures. In both cases, this does count as your one coin use per game. You do not have to give the 2011 Silver Piece to another player to use this rule."
Am I reading this wrong or is it telling me that if I don't have the Fairy Dust expansion, I can still get a Fairy Dust card? Or is it meant to say something else, like I can get 10 treasure cards? |

Re: 2011 Coin Clarification
What it means is that, if you are playing any game of Munchkin without using the Fairy Dust expansion, (and you have the Fairy Dust expansion available), you may activate the coin to legally take one Fairy Dust card from not-in-use pack and add it to your hand at the start of the game.

You're reading it wrong.
Quote:
If you don't have the expansion handy, then you get 4 Door cards and 4 Treasure cards to start your game, along with a pretty coin that does nothing. There may be a special use of the coin, as each month of the year it gets a bonus rule, but that time hasn't come yet. |
