Suggestion for Mk VI / Dopp Kickstarter
I have a suggestion for a very useful item to include in the upcoming Mk VI / Dopp Kickstarter:
A card, in the same size and format of the Ogre Record Sheet cards that have come with the other miniatures sets, that includes the stat lines for all of the conventional units that have miniatures so far. As with the cards from Set 2, it could have the movement and ranges in inches on one side and hexes on the other. This would be a very handy thing to include, either as part of the base set, or even as a stretch goal. What do you think? Also, if you did a card with the CRT [Ogre on one side, Ogre Miniatures on the other], then people could play Ogre Miniatures with only 3 small cards at the table for reference. I think this is a brilliant idea!

Re: Suggestion for Mk VI / Dopp Kickstarter
FWIW, I just used a selection of counters from ODE, scanned them as a group, then printed that out on photo paper as a reference sheet. That was then slipped in a small clear acrylic 5 x 9 standee (like used for photos) for table reference.
I did the same with the CRT, blowing it up to 8 x 10. |

I should ask a friend who has the counters to scan them in for me to do up reference cards. I find they are quicker and easier to visually parse than reading down stat lines.

I think they both have merit - scanned counters provide a nice easy visual reference, while stat lines are more compact (and thus better suited for a card). I can see the visual version being better for beginners and attracting new players, while the cards will do just fine for us grognards :)

I made these for use with Ogre Miniatures in Excel about a million years ago...
They are sized to fit in top loaders for trading cards. 2018-08-30 17.17.45.jpg
