Roger Zelazny has also written Auto Da Fe which is thematically in line with Devil Car, and is one of my favorite short stories. There is a fantastic reading of it on You Tube by Edward French. My rarest CW items are my well played Pocket Boxes of Car Wars, Sunday Drivers, and Truck Stop. My rarest SJ Games item are my Signed copy of Killer, and a poster for the unpublished game no one talks about. |

That level of Completeness may well cause a Car-Combat Black Hole to develop.... :)

FWIW, I have the zip-loc version of CW, HW2K, Battlecars, and Battlebikes.
The last three were courtesy of attending games auctions at my FLGS in the eighties and nineties when you could get that stuff for a song. |

A copy of the Driving Tigers #1 fan newsletter, along with pretty much all the games and supplements. I think the only notable omissions from my collection are the run of ADQ (easy enough to find), the actual pocket box for Boat Wars (though I have all the contents), the City Blocks series (because meh), and the 2039 Uncle Al's Catalog Update.

I'd forgotten, I still have one of these tucked away too.

Re: What is your Rarest Car Wars item?
Related to Driving Tigers Magazine #1 is the Analog Magazine Issue Vol. CVI No. 12 December 1986. The issue featured the short story, "The Year the Indy Died" by P.M. Fergusson. Driving Tigers Magazine #1 and #2 printed that story. Because of the copyright restrictions, the online archive of Driving Tigers Magazine never had "The Year the Indy Died."
I was able to find a copy of the December 1986 issue of Analog Magazine at a Half Price Books store approximately 10 years ago.

I don't have anything particularly rare; I think the rarest I have might be Autoduel Champions. (Counters cut. Sigh.)
