Default Are Mana Coprocessors still in 4e?

Are Mana Coprocessors still a discrete thing which appears somewhere in the RAW of 4th edition? (I've been looking in the books I have on hand and haven't found any mention.)

Or where they considered too setting specific and now one just builds their character with the machine meta-trait and magery?

There used for computers in Tech RPM at least.
However the device is really a setting thing not a rules thing so would not change between editions.
