TFT Cards
Hi,
I started this as a reply to another thread but I thought it made sense to start a new topic. This could be a mini-kickstarter or a standalone product. I like the idea of a deck (or maybe several) pre-gen character cards. You could use them with as PCs or NPCs. The concept is from Chaosium: Call of Cthulhu, I would assume the concept is not copyrightable? They sell them as pdf or as physical cards. I've bought them and they are a very nice product, really high quality. As an example for a pack of four decks:
Each character could have a brief (1-4 sentences) biography and an illustration, and an associated counter. And the higher level characters could have some loot (fine or magical). (Stretch goal - counter sheet) The purchaser would also receive a pdf of the characters' cardboard heroes. (Stretch goal - cardboard heroes) or be offered as an add-on. The Characters could be produced easily with the help of the community, we can design the characters for SJG. We could even be assigned the task of designing the character to fit the illustrations available from the existing Cardboard Hero back catalog. SJG would only need to proof what was sent in (this task would need to be done prior to the KS). As for monsters/bestiary? You could just reproduce the ITL bestiary, with descriptions, to save looking up the rulebook. |

Re: TFT Cards
Those look great. I'd definitely buy a pack. I'd probably buy one of every pack you guys produced.
Are those available for sale anywhere now? |

Re: TFT Cards
No. We were using those for demos. We are discussing ideas for the future and may create decks of the cards for retail sale.

I love the idea. I'd favor monsters (including boss monsters), but characters would be welcome, too. Hmmm, boss characters (perhaps to use as boss monsters)?

That way, a character card is just that, him and his weapon... or him and his spells & perhaps weapon. Any extra items they carry can be a card in the player's hand. This would allow the character to be used in any situation and for Loot to be assembled as the GM sees fit.
