What do people think of Conditional Injury?
Has anyone used Conditional Injury in Pyramid 120? What did you think?

Re: What do people think of Conditional Injury?
Perhaps you could explain it a bit for those of us who couldn't afford a complete set of Pyramid?

Re: What do people think of Conditional Injury?
I like what I can remember of it, but to really get familiar I'll probably need a 'lite' cheat-sheet or something along those lines.
Plus I'm wondering about the whole "worsening existing injury by hitting it again" type thing, if we could break down limbs like they are in Low-Tech armor (eg thigh/knee/shin instead of leg) and maybe even by stuff like front/back since then you're talking about hurting different muscles/skin on different sides of a limb rather than overlapping an existing point of impact. |

Re: What do people think of Conditional Injury?
Another way to describe it is as a way to adjust the damage system to a logarithmic scale. This makes it a natural companion for “Know Your Own Strength” in theory; though in practice, one or both would need to be retooled so that their scales match up. Another effect of pairing them up is that the “dice pool” approach of damage gets replaced by a fixed set of side regardless of what the damage rating is.

That's actually sort of a side effect of the way Doug did it, rather than necessarily related. You can do the same thing without logarithms, just give a list of thresholds.

I don't want to sacrifice the beautiful rule of ten crunch. Decidamage definitely doesn't seem in line with the injury scaling of CI.
