Is choosing to walk away from the Stoned Golem considered combat?
A player that has two curses affecting him; B.O. & Malign Mirror, which affect the next combat, chooses to look for trouble against a stoned golem and then declares that they will wave and walk past. Is this considered combat and thus end the effect of the curses?

He never entered in combat! He don't lose his courses... I'd like an offical answer...

Bob's answer is officially correct. You encountered a monster; it just happens to be one that you don't have to fight.
