Mommy question

I understand that Mommy is a separate Monster that cannot be enhanced... and that enhancements to her baby apply to her. What I'm not sure about is, do we still follow the "first in, first out" order for the cards?

In other words, what if the first monster shows up (either level 5 or below, or made a Baby) and it is not enhanced until AFTER the Mommy is played? Do the enhancements still work on both baby and mommy, or just the baby?

Mommy is just a special form of Mate, so the rules actually cover this:

Just replace "Mate" with "Mommy."
