The Ogre Book - 1st ed reprint?
In the latest Battlefields KS update Phil asked if we would be interested in a reprint of the 1st Edition of The Ogre Book.
heck yeah :-)

Re: The Ogre Book - 1st ed reprint?
Qualified "no": There are only two articles (three pages total) that were not reprinted between the 1st and 2nd editions of the Ogre Book. They're both guidelines for combining Ogre with long out-of-print wargames: Starship Troopers by Avalon Hill (1976; the 1997 version is completely different) and Rivets (last seen about 1980-81). I'd rather just see those pages added to a future Ogrezine or to the Ogre Articles page.

I own both Starship Troooers and Rivets. They can take my money for it right now!

Re: The Ogre Book - 1st ed reprint?
I'd like to see whatever effort SJG would have to expend directed towards new content, not semi- out of date content from decades ago.

Actually, let me drop a caveat: if they have the files ready to go, might as well do a POD/PDF reprint. I won't buy it, mind. I have a hardcopy.

Re: The Ogre Book - 1st ed reprint?
I have the original, but I'd totally buy a reprint of the original 1st edition. I'd take a pdf if that was the only way, but I'd prefer a hard copy.

Re: The Ogre Book - 1st ed reprint?
I'd possibly be interested. I've almost bought it second hand, a few times. I have the 2nd edition and know there isn't really any material to be gained but its for the sake of completeness. Print on demand would be acceptable.

Re: The Ogre Book - 1st ed reprint?
I have Rivets. And Space Gamer #17, and all the others, so I'm good. No, I wouldn't buy a 1st ed book with 2nd now in hand.
Now, if the powers that be can make a deal with Robert Taylor to get Rivets itself back in print and with plastic minis.... I'ld be in for enough minis to cover 8 players and 4 games at a time for conventions and FLGS use! And 4 Neoprene mats too.

Not for me, as I have the original in print, even if it's a little beat up.
