Default Low-Tech_mid to late 14th Century Armor

I'm wanting to run Orcslayer in GURPS 4e using historic medieval armor. Below is what I've cooked up using Low-Tech so far (limb armor is still being worked on). I've doubled the cost of most TL4 plate armor pieces appropriate to the period and included some archaic armor for the squire on a budget. Any thoughts?

Note that the Light, Medium, and Heavy designations for bascinets, visors, gambesons, breastplates, and backplates are relative rather than strict Low-Tech terminology.

Under Armor:
Padded Aketon (Arms, Torso) DR:1* $75 Wgt:9 Location:Arms, Torso Note:Called a Padded Jupon when worn over armor.

I'm wanting to try out the Edge Protection rules from Low-Tech (LT p.102). The thing is, I get the feeling that it's a compromise and that many involved in its development have made their own house rules. I've read Icelander's modifications. Any other suggestions that aren't a total redesign?

I'm finding myself dissatisfied with using reinforced hardened leather from Low-Tech to represent the splinted limb defenses of the 14th century. In many cases the splints would seem to alternate between the inside and outside the leather, possibly with more overlap as a result. Surely this offers more protection than the leather with +1 DR to cut. Would this be better represented as segmented plate or maybe even scale?

I used the Low-Tech rule as is without issue.

I'm reworking the weight's of scale and segmented plate based of Dan Howard's posted changes. I'm just not sure if I'm using his first or second reworking of weights for segmented plate. Does anyone make use of one or the other?

That's the one.

We don't actually know this because we only have illustrations and those illustrations don't show the inside of the armour. Personally I don't think there was any metal on the inside.

BTW

Is it legally okay for me to publicly post loadouts made using published GURPS material, with some items being strait from the books?

By the mid-to-late 14th century, mail was two or three times as expensive as plate of similar quality protecting the same areas. So I would not worry about changing prices for individual, unless I decided to throw out the GURPS prices for everything and use historical ones (which is great, and the GURPS blog roundup from 25 May has a post for that, but a lot of work for something that maybe one person at the table will care about).

I would be inclined to control the fanciest items by limiting supply. "Oh, you want a solid breastplate? You can pay extortionate prices to buy one that doesn't fit from another soldier, or wait for the fair next year."
