I once tried to convince John to draw a "Games That Should Not Be Published" Murphy's for GT Fart Raider, but he was having none of it.

This bit of randomness brought to you by laundry day.

Of all the posters here, you are the last one I would have imagined to make a fart joke. My paradigm will need time to recover.

But Fart Raider would still take gas giant mining to whole new level.

Yay! That's excellent news!!

Some idle speculation from myself: The upcoming GURPS Discworld is a huge product, IIRC 350-400 pages thick, so once SJ Games are done with the Ogre boxed set, they'll need to devote a lot of manpower to Discworld (a licensed property) to make sure they get it right. So... my not-very-edcuated guess is that we don't see much other GURPS material until after GURPS Discworld comes out.

Still hoping for a Bestiary, though. Of the comprehensive you-can-have-these-critters-as-allies-or-even-shapechange-into-them-if-you-want kind, rather than just the here-are-the-fighty-fighty-stats kind. Notably, a really comprehensive bestiary of present and past animals can easily be so good and useful that it'll be relevant for GMs who use systems other than GURPS. Some Ars Magica campaigns deal a lot with animals and shapechanging, for instance. Ars Magica already has its own material on animals, but as I understand it it's quite thin.

My gut says you're wrong and we'll see numerous PDFs before Discworld.

I have two in the pipeline, and proposals awaiting review when Smarsh and Kromm have time and permission.

I'm glad to see this. I spent WAY too much of my high school life building vehicles for GURPS games that never came into being.

I'm particularly interested to see how much is new and different. How much or how little it will be like the previous GURPS Vehicles.

I'm curious, too. Real-life tech has probably changed some of the underlying assumptions quite a bit as well as the fact the tech levels have been consolidated.

I'm still curious about an Armory type book.

I'm in a similar position, only without anything in the pipeline. In fact, I'll go so far as to make a prediction:

2013 will not see any new GURPS books from me.

Why? I doubt any of my proposals will see a final decision, let alone a contract, until some time after the giant cybertank leaves the hangar, which I don't see happening until at least April. And given the usual vagaries of writing, editing, and production, I don't see a typical book going through the whole process in nine months. Even Fantasy-Tech 1, which was conceived of as a quick fill-in, took about a year from initial proposal to publication.
