Music for the Choirs/Tunes for the Bands
While posting to the "Music for the Superiors" thread (and posting, and posting), it occurred to me that some songs fit individual Choirs and Bands better than they do any Superior. For example:
CHERUB I may not always love you, but as long as there are stars above you, You'll never need to doubt it, I'll make you so sure about it, God only knows what I'd be without you. If you should ever leave me, though life would still go on, believe me, The world could show nothing to me, for what good would living do me? God only knows what I'd be without you. --"God Only Knows," The Beach Boys HABBALITE Shout, shout, let it all out, These are the things I can do without, Come on, I'm talking to you, come on. And when you've taken down your guard, If I could change your mind, I'd really love to break your heart, I'd really love to break your heart ... -- "Shout," Tears for Fears OFANITE Round, like a circle in a spiral, Like a wheel within a wheel, Never ending or beginning, On an ever spinning wheel, Like a snowball down a mountain, Or a carnaval balloon, Like a carousel that's turning, Running rings around the moon. Like a clock whose hands are sweeping, Past the minutes on its face, And the world is like an apple, Whirling silently in space, Like the circles that you find, In the windmills of your mind. --"Windmills of Your Mind," by Bergman, Bergman and Legrand. (Especially if performed as the Muppets did it, starting fast and getting constantly faster until the end of the song.) Anybody else want to add their suggestions?

Another Ofanite song:
Love is a burning thing and it makes a firery ring bound by wild desire I fell in to a ring of fire... I fell in to a burning ring of fire I went down, down, down and the flames went higher. And it burns, burns, burns the ring of fire the ring of fire... - Johnny Cash, Ring of Fire

Re: Music for the Choirs/Tunes for the Bands
For the Kyriotates in the crowd:
I am he, As you are he, As you are me, And we are all together ... "I Am The Walrus," The Beatles (actually, the whole song's strange enough to be a Kyriotate's multiplicity of experiences.) And for the Djinn -- or an especially-obsessive Cherub who's about to Fall: Every breath you take, Every move you make, Every bond you break, every step you take, I'll be watchin' you. Every single day, Every word you say Every game you play, every night you stay, I'll be watchin' you. Oh, can't you see, You belong to me, How my poor heart aches, With every step you take. Every move you make and every vow you break, Every smile you fake, every claim you stake, I'll be watchin' you "Every Step You Take," The Police (or as my wife calls it, "The Stalker Song.")

For Djinn (particularly those who were once Cherubim):

Re: Music for the Choirs/Tunes for the Bands
Nice one, oh, Evil Game Master. Meanwhile, here's an entry for the Lilim.
Hey you, I hear you got nothing to lose, Well, I got a deal to soothe your soul, an offer you can't refuse, Just step into my world, I guarantee you'll never be the same, Let me introduce myself, I'm sure you've heard the name, They call me the pastor of disaster, Sucker, I've got you now, it's time to make your descent, I've got one hell of a schedule, there will be no time to repent, What, you dare defy me, when I could slice you up with ease? I am temptation, so get down on your knees ... "Pastor of Disaster" by Annhilator

One for a Baalseraph, in his/her more regretful moments:
I try to blame it on fortune Some kind of twist in my fate But I know the truth and it haunts me I learned it a little too late Oh I know the truth and it mocks me I know the truth and it shocks me I learned it a little too late Too late From the musical "Aida" by Elton John and Tim Rice

Re: Music for the Choirs/Tunes for the Bands
Here's the start of one for the Bright Lilim:
Every time I look into your lovely eyes, I see a love that money just can't buy. One look from you, I drift away. I pray that you are here to stay. Anything you want, you got it. Anything you need, you got it. Anything at all, you got it. Baby! ... - Roy Orbison, You Got It

Re: Music for the Choirs/Tunes for the Bands
Step up to the microphone, Mercurians!
If you woke up this morning on the right side of the bed, That's a good feeling, spread it around, If you can't keep from laughing at something someone says, That's a good saying, spread it around, You'll find that happiness goes if you let it, Feels good the further it goes, so go spread it, If you'll find the way to make sunshine the whole world should know, Tell 'em about it, spread it around, If you'll hand it to somebody and help him when he's down, Tell him some good news, spread it around, Sing a little song with kindness, love is a happy sound, Stand up and shout it, spread it around, You'll find that happiness goes if you let it... I said tell 'em about it, spread it around, Spread it around. "Spread It Around" by Johnny Paycheck
