Default I'm a magical girl and my classmate is a prototype anti-demon robot!

Hello everyone!

So, while it is for the specific purpose of making a Confident for a magical girl in a world with "realistic" consequences to the "unrealistic" events of demons and magical girls, I want subtle hints that can be dropped as to the artificial nature of one of the member of a batch of transfer students with fake records, send as an investigators into the weird events happening because when humans agents were send they were vulnerable to mind reading, AIs are not.

Exact nature is an immature prototype TL 9 Volitional AI, with fake paper trail showing heavy childhood trauma to explain why she "suffers from shunted emotional growth", that is her tendency to act very childishly sometimes because her mind is very young, as well as some odd behaviors, despite being otherwise very intelligent. Her childlike mind is why her cover story was going to school, she had to pose as a "normal" citizen and her childlike mind would make her stick like a sore thumb among adults, and even at school she still acts incredibly immature.

Her Confident arc is based on her literally growing up from her child-like state, developing a deeper personality than the weapon she was intended to be, while embracing her role as a guardian not because she was built to be one, but because she has come to care for the people she has met.

Her Confident role is a hacker/backup, serving as a Contact for hacking skills and being occasionally available as an extra party member handling heavy equipment to compensate for her lack of magic power and hyperspectral perception against foes that can become invisible in the visible spectrum.

Her active support would work with a cooldown system, if they call her for assistance in one of their excursions she's gonna be on a cooldown during which she'd be unavailable for repairs/maintaining her cover as far as her superiors know.

Progressing along the confident arc would reduce her active support cooldown, as well as give additional excuses for breaking curfew (hard to be mad at someone because they went to help a friend that is known for being in heavy psychological distress).

Which leaves the question: how to make her available as a confident?

Short of having the party see her in a fight or break into her home and find no food but crates of power cells and enough heavy weapons to take over a small nation, how to give them hints that

1) She's unusual

and

2) She's on their side against a demonic invader?

Here are the hints I have for 1:

She displays little to no pain when she's involved in accidents in PE.
She displays great prowess in PE, despite her not looking like a typical fitness nut.
She doesn't seem to focus that much in class, yet always get straight As.

For 2:

She displays unusual interests for the heroes of history and fiction alike (the on their side bit).
She stands up for the bullied kids, and the usual suspects listen to her "cease and desist" warnings.
She's always asking questions about the "recent events" (the demonic infiltration) to people she can find who have had personal experience with it, and acts pretty much like an immature fan of the latest wave of heroes (which is how she stays covert: she sounds like a loony fan, not an investigator).

Thanks!

"Her Confident arc is based on her literally growing up from her child-like state, developing a deeper personality than the weapon she was intended to be, while embracing her role as a guardian not because she was built to be one, but because she has come to care for the people she has met"

and "She stands up for the bullied kids, and the usual suspects listen to her "cease and desist" warnings."

Sound like unusual pairings. "Raising her to be a weapon" implies that the ones who raised her were abusive slaveowners who wanted a child-soldier, not good parents who encouraged ideals of magnanimity and chivalry. It would take a bit of learning to make her want to stand up for bullied kids. It sounds a whole lot like Mark Vorkosigan being readopted by Aral and Cordelia and having to learn what is expected of an honorable Vor.

She was made as a weapon and unexpectedly developed a heart, and, for all intents and purposes, a soul. She wasn't "raised" or anything, she was built, programmed, given a primer to appear human in her programming, and turned out much more human-like than intended or expected. She was build to pose as human for a mission, and the cutting edge research into imitating human behavior resulted in her actually nt just imitating human behavior, but developing human-like thought patterns. They just noted that she could only pose as an undeveloped human (child) and that any attempt of having her pass as an adult was doomed to failure. Her handlers and the crew building her are unaware of how she has developed beyond the programming that was put in, but should they be made aware, they're likely to collectively adopt her as their child, but she's likely to keep it a secret so that her builders and handlers don't worry about her in the field.
