Spirit of Michael's servitors.
When I read about Mad Jack Churchill, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Churchill , *that* puts me in the right spirit to think about how Michael's servitors view the world.
To give you an idea, he is the only known British soldier to have killed an enemy with a *longbow* in the course of World War II. Another quote from the Wikipedia article. Churchill was said to be unhappy with the sudden end of the war (refering to Hiroshima and Nagasaki), saying: "If it wasn't for those damn Yanks, we could have kept the war going another 10 years." |

Wow, they broke the mold on that one. That was one incredible read. Heck, if I ever run a pulp Action Comic version of IN, I know exactly my pregens: this guy, Indiana Jones, those superspies on Cracked.com countdown of 5 spies better than James Bond, etc...

Just watched Michael (the John Travolta movie) again. I'm amused for the evening.

Mad Jack is an occasional NPC in the Weird War II game in which I'm one of the players. We're always pleased to see him.

In the Weird War II game I play, he hasn't shown up yet, but the GM reckons he must someday. How many factions of Nazi magicians do you have to deal with?

Only one faction of Nazis. We also have Rasputin's Russians, a Japanese order whose name I forget since it's been a while, Martians, and just recently Venusians. Fortunately, the Atlanteans are on our side.
It's been going on for a while. We've accreted. |

Re: Spirit of Michael's servitors.
:) It is much cooler than it was in print. In the 70s and 80s it was somehow more juvenile with its belch and vomit jokes than MAD, a seemingly impossible tasks. But then this was mostly my older brother's collection, so yeah, you're showing your age. :P Nyah, nyah, nyah! :D

I have to agree. Something about the transition to electrons set it free. Before, it never really got above the seventh grade.
