Game night for engineers
Mid-semester game night. Bitter old man brought spiral map, cards from legacy and decks of destiny, plus Melee for meddling kids. Fun was had by all! Amazing how much play Melee offers for such a short space of time. Three games in one hour! Thanks for such a well designed game!

Re: Game night for engineers
TFT is so great for groups of new players because it has such an accessible engaging 'on ramp' of gladiatorial fights, and it has so many tactile 'bits' to interact with. Many roleplaying games present the new player with a basically empty table, maybe a 400 page book, and a 1-2 hour confusing process of character creation. TFT presents you with a bunch of physical objects that are obviously components of a game, and a 1-2 minute process of character creation.

1-2 minutes? They drew from a deck. It was awesome!

Yah, the decks are great. Just keep your eyes peeled for errors - there are 8 cards in the existing decks of human fighters that have incorrect numbers on them.

Re: Game night for engineers
That's half of them! There are another 3 in the high-stat-total cards that came with DoD, and I am pretty sure there is another 32 point human with an error. I'll check later and post my corrections list.
On the up side, as far as I can tell all the orcs, wizards, monsters, etc. in DoD are error free. So, that process seems to be working well now. |

Re: Game night for engineers
The giant wolverine card lists bite damage as 2-1 (ITL has 2+1).

Re: Game night for engineers
Good catch. I find it easy to spot errors in humanoid character sheets but I don't remember the monsters well enough to see them without directly comparing
