Mexican Standoff and Scroll of Fortune Reversal

It's been discussed that the SFR doesn't just flips the numbers, but stays until the end of the battle so 18+SFR = 81, +2 = 02, and we played it like that.

But, what happens when a Mexican Standoff (from TGTBTM) hits the deck during a reversed battle?

We decided to turn the dial to 0, and after it was moved up to 04, it counted as 40 in the end. Were we correct?

This was not a situation we thought about, and the text on Mexican Standoff is singularly unhelpful, so until I get a chance to consult Steve and Erik, the answer is that Mexican Standoff cancels the Reversal of Fortune Scroll. The player who used the Scroll gets it back and may use it in a later fight.
