If you are using standard magic, the missile shield spell is a great option, especially if you have defensive luckiness as well. It prevents all missiles from hitting you except on a critical success; so if someone makes a critical success on you (assuming they haven't used luck to give them that critical success) you can avoid a firing squad. Be weary of grenades or explosive fireballs though... their explosions may or may not be considered missiles depending on the gm. :)

I Think you are thinking Defect Missile, Missile Shield if up doesn't care if it was a critical or not it will simply Miss the subject, unles it deplete Necrouim or campain eqvuilent
