I'm signed up, and I have a few questions:

Will a schedule with event starting times be posted soon?

Are we supposed to sign up for games in advance or at the con--or will it be first-come, first-serve?

Will attendees have an opportunity to run some of the games on the list, or are all the events going to be handled by SJG staff, with attendees as players, but not GMs?

Well... bought my ticket. Trying to decide between the low-rated close to the convention hotel or the better rated one that has a longer walk. Or springing for a car. Hmmm.

Can anybody who knows the area recommend lodging in a non-dangerous area that won't break the bank?

The Super 8 is on a heavily trafficked corner and we have put up visiting staff and guests there many times. I haven't stayed there myself but I haven't heard any substantial complaints.

Seems I underestimated the time it'd take for me to get to Austin, the quickest option is around 12 hours of travel. But I seem to have overestimated the cost, the prices range from $500 to $800.

Then there's hotel, ESTA, OMG I lost control at the Con money.... And food.

A more general question on FnordCon - is there a policy on pictures, videos, and audio for the event? Thanks!

I haven't seen this addressed, but I may have missed it.

My four year old son loves to play Ogre with me. Is there an age limit for attendees? Is it okay for me to purchase a ticket for him?

From the FnordCon page (http://www.sjgames.com/fnordcon/ ):
Quote:
Attendees 8 and over must purchase a badge. Please be aware that there will not be any children's activites; most of our games are for ages 10 and above. All minors under 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
