Mine arrived today. It looks very very nice! Seriously good job.

(Can you tell I'm pleased?)

My two arrived in Salt Lake City today.

Scenario idea: Breakthrough variant. The green spaces to the east and west of the city are narrow enough to be dangerous but tempting enough to be interesting. The defender is all or mostly infantry - enough to guard both green belts or the city center, but not both. Decisions, decisions!

It's about $6 for a 2x2 sheet of 1/4", or half that if you go with 1/4" MDF.
I have some ideas about making something that can be clamped to the coffee table for just such an emergency. It's somewhat interesting that my current "table extension" is the ODE box itself :-)

Well, given that the playmat is 24x24, and the ODE box is 24x18, you just need to put 2 ODE boxes next to each other and you'll have plenty of extra room for supplies off-board :P

My roommate and I are both gamers. I've already told her that I'm buying an extra-large dining room table. There were no complaints. :D

Yup, it works great. Usually it's one box where I use both the lid and base side-by-side on the coffee table, but multiple ODE boxes have been used in the past, too :-)

I haven't received mine yet in Nebraska, :/ , but how about using a bit of poster putty to stick an overlay to a same-sized cut-out piece of green felt. Would the felt "interact" enough with the playmat's fabric to keep it mostly in one place?

Give me a few minutes, and I'll try it.

...okay, a little bit of blue-tack seems to work just fine. I'm going to leave my test setup for a couple hours to see if the putty damages the mat, but I think it should be good.
