Default Realistic horse movement

Is there some rule about realistic horse movement?
I'm taliking about the fact that they can't walk backwards or that they take some time and space to turn themself or the fact that when in battle they are supposed to keep moving to keep charging and avoid being cutted down.

I'm not a big expert on the matter but i'd like to depict knight battles in the most realistic way and i couldn't find anything on my own (i'm leaving homebrew as the last chance)

Sounds like you already know enough to get the feel while still being playable.

Horses can (and do) walk backwards, they just don't like to do it for very far, largely because they have a blindspot directly behind them.

Anything moving above their Move with Enhanced Move uses the rules for turn radii, including horses.

Horses absolutely can walk backwards. They'll do it particularly when they think they can knock you off their saddle with a low hanging branch or sign, if they're in a grumpy mood.

The High Speed movement rules are on page 394. A horse using their Enhanced Move is moving above their Basic Move, which directly impacts turning radius, as per Direction and Turning Radius, same page.

Horses can walk backwards. I don't think you have an accurate imagination of basic horse movement given the rest of your description, either. Google videos on "horse reining" to watch trained horses turn and stop on a dime.

Dungeon Fantasy 16: Wilderness Adventures has the most comprehensive set of GURPS mounted combat rules that I've seen. I would start there.

Watch a barrel racing competition to see what horses can do.

Welp, i guess a man shouldn't extrapolate realistic horse movement from shadow of the colossus.
i must have missed the harder turn rule for enhanced move, my bad.

Will definitely take a look at real horses stunts and races to get a better feel for it.

About the attack while on movement part i think i will make all my mounted npcs rely on that -1 to hit and +1 to damage
