That's for realistic gunblades, not the ridiculous devices from FFVIII. Of course, that post does require you to have Fantasy Tech to get the full stats of the weapons.

Well whatever that blue lightsaber weapon in the picture is, how would that be stat and how much realistic penalties to not cutting yourself into pieces would you give a person.

It could be multi-bladed Force Glaive as seen in UT. The main effect is probably at least a -3 to hit. That's more than any exotic weapon in Martial arts. It really restricts the way you can handle the shaft.
