I know this is an old topic but would you or anyone else here extend this to say that larger cleavers which might be used by e.g. The Butcher from Diablo http://diablo.wikia.com/wiki/The_Butcher%27s_Cleaver

It's a two-handed cleaver, right? Either a Dao or Large Falchion would probably work.

Well real butchers knife with the weighted end, french chefs knife or a basic Chinese chef knife(which looks a lot like a cleaver)?

For a character I would say something like a small Falchion cheap with a penalty to use, the penalty bought off with improvised weapons perk.
