Default Discard pile question

Hello again,
At any point during the game can a player pick up the discard pile (treasure/door) and look through to see if something will benefit them in any form or fashion?
Thanks

Nope. I'm finding it difficult to search for a place where it was officially stated, but I know it was somewhere. The only way you can look through the discards is if you have a card that lets you do so.

Edit: Found the statement. It was actually in the rules.

Its in the standard rules on page 1 under "Card Management", where it tells you to keep a seperate pile for discards and then tells you you can't look through them unless you have a card that says you can.

Thanks I kinda felt that way but I really had no grounds to argue cause I was unsure about the rule...

When you play the card that allows you to look at the discard pile, can you look at both discard piles or just one of em?

It depends on the wording of the card. Wand of Dowsing, for example lets you look through both discard piles and pick the card you want; One Size Fits All only lets you look through the Treasure discards.
