Can a main combatant "decide" when combat is over?
This question is related to my prior post about reasonable time but it is a distinct question in itself.
Can the main combatant decide when combat is over? What I mean here is if a main combatant and a helper are winning a fight, can the main combatant decide that the combat isn't over yet, after a reasonable time has elapsed, in order to give other players time to play cards to change the balance so that a helper wouldn't be able to underhandedly (extremely munchkinly) win the game? In discussing the situation after our game the point was made that a munchkin can interfere with their own combat even when they are winning, and other players have made no move to stop them, so the mere fact other players chose not to play cards against them doesn't mean combat is immediately over. I believe the "reasonable time" would apply to every player in the game so if players, including the main combatant, aren't responding to the situation as it stood that it would mean combat is indeed over and the combat won. |
