Official 4e sloped armor?
I'm looking for something fairly specific: has there been a published treatment in 4e of the effects of sloped armor? High Tech, apparently, doesn't cover it, and it wouldn't surprise me that it won't be addressed until vehicle design comes out, but I wanted to make sure. To be clear, I'm looking for something official, not house rules or advice on how it could be handled, and I know about GURPS Vehicles, p. 10, but that's 3rd edition.

Re: Official 4e sloped armor?
The only mention I can find is in Ultra Tech, where clamshell armor is described as sloped (which is more the sort of shaping done to plate armor than the sort of sloped armor you see on vehicles). I'll be keeping an eye on this thread in case something comes up.

Re: Official 4e sloped armor?
Nothing definitive. Searching for the phrase "sloped armor" gives me:
Fantasy Tech 1 - The Edge of Reality p. 15 (about Leonardo's tank) … the vehicles’ superior protection comes from this early form of sloped armor. It was to be wooden, thick enough to provide the crew protection. Pyramid3 - 04 - Magic on the Battlefield p. 22 (Demi Benson's Magical and Naval Warfare) … the look of early ironclads and monitors, with deep drafts and sloped armor . . . and hot, stuffy interior spaces. Pyramid3 - 53 - Action p. 16 (Hans-Christian Vortisch's Hell on Wheels about the Cadillac-Gage Commando) It is a 19’ long, four-wheeled, amphibious vehicle with heavily sloped armor. Among the dozens of minor models, the one described here has been the most numerous. (and mentions "single hull, not unlike a turtle shell. Its high-hardness armor steel is 0.25"¯ thick on the sides, sloped at an average of 30° to increase its protection value.", which is the closest I've seen.)

Re: Official 4e sloped armor?
I was looking for this when I was putting stats to an armored vehicle about a year ago. Didn't check TS. How this wasn't in HT, I don't know - it is a pretty useful thing. I ended up just doing the math for it, I think.
