Re: [DF] A bit of help with fortresses, their design, and capture.
Properly done, these things are a great treasure sink ... and if the PCs get too rich despite that, have the king invite himself around and spend all their money for them.
It's authentic. |

Nothing more fun than Hosting the Royal Progress...when he brings the whole Royal Court with him...quite the signal honor!

Re: [DF] A bit of help with fortresses, their design, and capture.
I'm surprised with the popularity of Dungeon Fantasy that castle/fortress design hasn't been covered yet. Still, if you like crunch, these non-canon rules by Matt Riggsby might help with their construction. Apologies if it's already been mentioned.

Shouldn't it be Murderer-Hobos? (With a blunderbuss where appropriate.)

When traditional Murder Hobos had committed enough murders, they were upgraded to Murder Homeowners with followers who were mostly useless at anything but getting murdered.

In AD&D, sure, but DF is not GURPS AD&D. In Diablo or Nethack you never become a Murder Homeowner. But really I just wanted to type "Murder Homeowner".
