Epic Ranger

Epic Ranger states:

"...Your steed's combat bonus is equal to the number of treasures that it would have granted if you had defeated it in combat." [Mod: Edited down to just the relevant sentence. Please avoid excessively long quoting, especially of copyrighted rules text.]

Now, does that mean that if I am a Master Ranger with a Non-Euclidean Map, and an Exorcise Wheel picking up an undead Knight of the Living Dead, is my new Steed a +8?

The normal Ranger power states specifically that the steed bonus is the printed treasure number on the card, but the Epic Ranger does not.

Just because something adds to the Treasure you would get doesn't change what the Monster would give you. Only what's on the Monster card is what comprises the bonus.

Temporary ruling, for now: the Epic Ranger's ability also limits you to the Treasures printed on the card. The Epic nature is in being able to tame Steeds in more circumstances than before.

I'm pretty sure we changed the Ranger's wording and didn't go back to change the Epic text, but I'll have to look to be sure. We've finally gotten some free production time to make an Epic Munchkin update (only *slightly* overdue), so if this does need to be tweaked, I'll get that done.
